I am a cancer survivor. Someday, probably not too far in the future, this will not be the first thing that I lead with when introducing myself. But as someone who is newly in remission, this is where I am for the time being. I finished up treatment in late May of 2022 and continue to gain strength as I move on from this experience.
I moved to Raleigh in 2013 from NYC to launch a new business, and it was the best move I ever made personally and professionally. The Raleigh-Durham area is so full of energy, beauty, and possibility and I plan to be here for a long time. I met my husband 2 months after I moved here and we were married in November of 2015. So, things have worked out pretty darn well for me.
My career started in the exciting and demanding climate of New York City. I attended art school at NYU and started my career photographing corporate and nonprofit events in New York. I also worked with a number of talented editorial and commercial photographers. The demands of photographing large and extravagant events and the variety of great mentors in my early career all helped me to become the professional I am today.
I now have a home studio in Apex, NC and photograph headshots, high school seniors, pets, and corporate events in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
