Allie & Michael’s Engagement Session at Coker Arboretum

I just loved working with Allie and Michael, whose wedding is scheduled for November 14, 2020, my 5 year anniversary with Ryan! Oh, and they are getting married at the same venue, the Oaks at Salem.

When I first met with Allie & Michael they told me about how they first met and about their engagement story. They met on their first day of college in their dorm and they were friends for 3 years before they started dating. They also described their love for their 2 corgis, Boston & Kit. We had intended to include them in the engagement session, but given the heat and the difficulty in finding someone to help with the dogs, they opted to leave them at home. But, they are planning to include them in the actual wedding.

Michael planned an especially elaborate proposal for Allie. As if proposing to someone isn’t nerve-racking enough, he decided to propose to her after sky-diving! Brave. The most anxiety-producing part was, ironically, the safety of the ring. Since he couldn’t be sure that the ring would be safe with him while he was skydiving, he had to leave it with someone that he had just met on the ground. Luckily, this was an honest person and the proposal (and sky diving) went off without a hitch. 😆
