Christmas Pet Portraits Make Me Smile
Man, it’s been a busy fall! I have photographed more dogs in ugly Christmas sweaters, silly holiday attire, and bowties than ever before! So, as Christmas approaches, I just had to share some of my favorite pet portraits from this season.
Yuletide Yorkies
These adorable Yorkies traveled all the way from Fayetteville to do their holiday portraits! Their owners had the most adorable outfits and props with them, which made this shoot even more awesome. These little guys didn’t stay still for very long, but we still managed to get several adorable images of them.
Bah Humbug Bulldog
This little man, ironically named Darwin, was a bundle of energy. (Bulldogs are the epitome of artificial selection!) Darwin is still a puppy so between shots he would busy himself with leaping in the air to try and plant a wet one on me and nosing around in my equipment bag. I LOVE bulldogs and all puppies, so how could I be mad at him!
Festive Farm Dogs
This shoot took place on a small farm in Chapel Hill. The owners of these dogs are a young couple who clearly love animals. Every time I looked around I saw more animals. In addition to their 3 “house” dogs they have a Great Pyrenees who watches over the horses and cows. They also have a few dogs who live on their property along with some chickens and pigs! Their property and house are gorgeous, so I had a ball working with them!
Holly Jolly Havanese
These 2 really know how to put on a pouty face, huh!? Their owners think it is hysterical that when these dogs lay on the white bedding in their master bedroom, they almost disappear into the bed. So, it was a perfect backdrop for their Christmas portraits!
