Kim & Zach’s Uniquely Personalized Wedding at the Oaks at Salem

Kim & Zach’s wedding featured a number of unique and unconventional details. For starters, they did 2 ceremonies. The first ceremony was for just the immediate family and bridal party. They wanted to enjoy that moment in a more intimate setting before doing a larger ceremony with the rest of their guests.

The second unique feature of their wedding was that they kicked off their reception with a t-shirt toss! They figured why go with a traditional bouquet toss when you can do a t-shirt toss?! Now that’s something that I have never seen before! Their friend designed a custom t-shirt for their wedding and they used those t-shirts for the toss. All of the wedding party got to participate in the toss while the guests caught the t-shirts. Pretty great.

Some other unique details of their wedding include: flower women in place of flower girls, the vests for the groomsmen were made from fabric that the groom’s brother brought back from Africa, they served all vegan food, (which was delicious) and their cake was decorated with a bride and groom rock climbing, which happens to be a hobby that Kim and Zach enjoy. Oh yeah, and they BOTH changed their names to Korzen Varin, a combination of both of their last names. I love it when a couple personalizes their wedding with lots of unique details!
