Raise Your Camera Angle for Better Light
When shooting outside, you have to watch for unflattering shadows caused by too much overhead light. A quick fix for this is to raise your camera angle so that your subject has to look up toward the sky. Angling their face toward the sky will fill in the shadows in their eyes. This is because most of the light is falling on their face at about a 45-degree angle whereas before a lot of it was coming from directly above their head and casting shadows under their eyes.
