Unique Commercial Photo Shoot with The Black Feather Intuitive

I recently had the pleasure of working with Stacey Brown of The Black Feather Intuitive.  Stacey is a psychic who helps her clients get in touch with their own personal truth.

I worked with Stacey on conceptualizing and pre-visualizing the shoot.  After scouting at her home studio, we decided that her space didn’t have enough room to accommodate my lighting, so we did the shoot at my home studio in Apex. I wanted her headshots and website photos to have a dramatic flair.  While working with Stacey’s web designer, we determined that the props, wardrobe, and background colors should be in the peacock color palette: purples, teals, and greens.  This helped to create a cohesive feel for all of the website photos. She brought a TON of props and wardrobe options.  She also hired one of my favorite hair and makeup artists, Kristi Martinson of Wink Hair + Makeup.  Kristi does an amazing job with dramatic makeup, which was perfect for this shoot.  All of that preparation really paid off because this is one of my favorite photo shoots of 2017!  Stacey and her web designer were thrilled with the photos and they said that it made it so much easier to design the site.

In addition to portraits of Stacey, we photographed the feathers and tarot cards that she uses during her readings.  All of these elements help to paint the picture for prospective clients of what it is like to work with Stacey.  Combine that with a modern and clean website design, and you’ve got a recipe for small business success.
